Geoheritage Atlas of Iran is a 500-page bilingual (English-Persian) book with more than 150 geoheritage sites that are introduced by 800 photographs, access maps and explanations. The book follows geological and geomorphologic management and grouping system with all features arranged inside 8 main groups: Igneous, structural, sedimentary. This book is considered as a reference for geodiversity researchers, geotourism developers and all they are interested in geoparks and geoheritage in Persia (Iran). Quality of print is exquisite and book has been reviewed by several experts in different related fields. This atlas is a selection of images accompanies with simple-and-short related descriptions featuring Iran's potentials regarding the introduction and registration of geoparks in national and global levels in an effort to encourage the development of geotourism. The primary purpose of this book is to offer some of the relevant definitions, concepts and principles; then it covers the various geological phenomena in the form of a collection of pictures based on a suggested categorisation. In fact, the book tries to bring a collection of the selected geositites in the country under study. The target audience of this book includes a wide range of researchers and experts in the fields of geosciences, geography, tourism, cultural and natural heritage, environment, natural resources, arts and other interested individuals.
